These Terms & Conditions govern the submission, publication, promotion, advertising, recruitment postings, directory listings, partnerships, and related content or services made available through Brits in Dubai, operated by BID COMMUNITY SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT.

By submitting any business listing, vacancy, advertisement, promotion, partnership request, event, content, or other material to Brits in Dubai, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Brits in Dubai operates community platforms, websites, social media channels, newsletters, directories, promotional channels, recruitment listings, advertising opportunities, events, and related marketing activities serving the British and wider expatriate community in the UAE.

2. Submission & Approval Process

Submission of content does not guarantee approval, publication, promotion, partnership, advertising acceptance, directory inclusion, recruitment publication, or continued listing.

Brits in Dubai reserves the absolute right to:

  • Approve or reject any submission
  • Refuse publication without explanation
  • Edit, shorten, remove, reformat, crop, resize, rewrite, or adapt content
  • Request additional information
  • Remove listings at any time
  • Suspend or terminate publication immediately
  • Decline future submissions

3. Publication Duration & Removal Rights

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, publication duration is not guaranteed and remains at the sole discretion of Brits in Dubai.

Free Business Directory Listings

Approved free business directory listings may remain live for a period determined solely by Brits in Dubai and may be removed, archived, edited, or suspended at any time.

Recruitment / Vacancy Listings

Unless otherwise specified, vacancy postings may remain active for up to 30 days. Brits in Dubai may remove listings earlier or later at its discretion.

Promotions, Events & Campaigns

Promotional content, offers, campaigns, and events may remain active only for the relevant campaign duration or as determined by Brits in Dubai.

Advertising Placements

Advertising durations, placements, impressions, visibility, exposure, and performance may vary. Brits in Dubai does not guarantee traffic, leads, sales, revenue, engagement, reach, recruitment outcomes, or commercial results.

4. Acceptable Materials & Content Standards

Users may only submit lawful, accurate, authorised, and non-misleading materials. The following content is prohibited:

  • Illegal products or services
  • Counterfeit goods or fraudulent schemes
  • Unlicensed or misleading commercial activity
  • Offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful content
  • Adult, violent, hateful, or extremist content
  • Pyramid schemes or get-rich-quick schemes
  • Misleading recruitment or false promotions
  • Spam, phishing, or deceptive activity
  • Materials that infringe intellectual property rights

5. Marketing Rights & Promotional Consent

By submitting materials, you grant Brits in Dubai a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce, promote, edit, reformat, distribute, share, feature, and repurpose submitted materials across its website, social media channels, newsletters, directories, advertising campaigns, printed materials, events, and community communications.

This may include business names, logos, images, videos, descriptions, offers, recruitment content, promotional assets, and related information.

6. No Guarantee of Commercial Outcomes

Brits in Dubai makes no representations or guarantees regarding business growth, sales, revenue, leads, recruitment success, candidate quality, traffic, exposure, advertising performance, customer acquisition, engagement, or partnerships.

Participation does not imply endorsement, and all commercial outcomes remain solely the responsibility of the submitting party.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brits in Dubai, BID COMMUNITY SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT, its owners, directors, employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, agents, moderators, volunteers, and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, complaint, dispute, cost, or consequence arising from participation on the platform.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Loss of revenue, profits, customers, or opportunities
  • Business interruption or reputational damage
  • Recruitment losses or failed campaigns
  • Advertising, marketing, or promotional losses
  • Website downtime, technical failures, errors, or delays
  • Removal, rejection, suspension, or editing of listings
  • Community feedback or third-party conduct
  • Customer disputes, fraud, or misrepresentation by users
  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages

Users participate entirely at their own risk. Brits in Dubai accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any impact, consequence, business outcome, commercial loss, operational issue, or third-party action arising from use of, or participation in, the platform.

8. Indemnity

Users agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless BID COMMUNITY SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT / Brits in Dubai against all claims, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, legal expenses, complaints, proceedings, fines, and disputes arising from submitted content, advertising materials, recruitment posts, intellectual property claims, customer complaints, misleading information, business activity, regulatory matters, or user conduct.

9. Right to Remove, Suspend or Refuse Content

Brits in Dubai may immediately remove, suspend, reject, edit, archive, or terminate content without notice and without compensation.

This may be due to complaints, legal concerns, brand alignment, reputation concerns, inactivity, policy changes, community standards, operational reasons, or any other reason determined by Brits in Dubai.

10. Third Parties

Brits in Dubai acts solely as a community and promotional platform. It is not a party to any agreement, transaction, recruitment process, employment relationship, commercial arrangement, booking, sale, or service conducted between users, businesses, advertisers, candidates, or third parties.

11. Privacy

Information submitted may be processed for publication, directory listings, promotions, marketing collaborations, recruitment publication, advertising, community communications, and related activities.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Brits in Dubai Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable within the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the UAE.
