ACCOUNTANT
We are seeking a skilled Accountant to manage all financial transactions of our busy Dance School. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial operations of the head office based in Dubai and our branch office in Abu Dhabi, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Start Date: 19th August 2026
The accountant’s responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping, data entry of all day to day accounting transactions.
- Management of accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage all monetary transactions
- Reconciliation of invoices and receipts between our CRM and the accounting software (currently Zoho Books), analysing the variances and reporting to the Principal to quickly resolve any errors.
- Reconciliation of clearing accounts for payment gateway and credit card receipts
- Processing monthly payroll
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Preparation and computation of Corporation Tax
- Analysis of financial data to present to the Management, including but not limited to cash flow, income and expense variances, and financial statements.
- Preparation of termly and year-end accounts, both Management Accounts and Financial Statements, compliant with accounting standards.
- Develop and improve, in liaison with the Principal, internal accounting procedures.
- Coordinate with the external auditor and ensure compliance with regulatory and financial accounting standards
- Negotiate with our PRO for visa processing, knowledge of UAE employment law.
- Negotiate and renew insurance policies, including health insurance.
Skills required:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Zoho Books would be an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of UAE tax laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Effective written and communication skills
- Team player
- Adaptability
- Knowledge of CRM software would be an advantage.
- An accounting qualification from a recognised accounting body.
- Experience gained over a number of years in a busy SME environment.
